Connecticut Awards $20 million to Stem Cell Research

Faye Armitage and I keep in touch ever since I "met" her online when I read about her son, Jason, who is a victim of spinal cord injury. Faye is an activist working hard to get funding for blastocystic (some call it embryonic) stem cell research.

On her blog, Faye posted the good news about the state of Connecticut who awarded $20 million in grants to fund 21 research projects at universities in the state. The grants went exclusively to embryonic stem cell research projects!!!

She also reports a complete opposite action by the state of New Jersey which has used their bill to fund 95% adult stem cell research and only 5% to blastocystic stem cell research.
